Chanel inspired look

Hello everybody! :)

Here's a look that I created inspired by the Chanel Fall/Winter 2010-2011 look (a little bit late maybe, but hey, it's a cool look anyway!). I'm fascinated by this look because it isn't really pretty but in the same time it's fantastic! It's both grungy and elegant with it's golden lid and strange textured crease.

I won't make this into a tutorial because it's super easy to achieve and doesn't require such a thorough guidance. However, I will give a brief explanation on how to create this look. :)

Inspirational pictures:

Pictures come from:

Here's my version:

On the lid I've used the pigment "Old gold" from M.A.C., applied dry, with a e.l.f. eyelid primer as a base. Just apply it over your lid and blend it into your crease. With a clean mascara wand pick up some gel eyeliner and dab it into your crease, creating a cat eye shape. This doesn't have to be neat at all!

I've also highlighted the inner corner of my eye and beneath my eyebrow. Some white eyeliner on the waterline will help to get rid of any redness.

The model on the picture doesn't wear any false eyelashes but I love falsies and decided to use them anyway. These are #13 from Red Cherry.

This is how it looked without false eyelashes:

You might be able to see the pretty greenish sparkles in the golden pigment. :3

The eyebrows should be kept really simple. I've just run through my brows with the tiniest bit of "Sketch" and a M.A.C. #239 brush.

And so the far from glamorous full face shot ;)

Please don't do the same mistake as I did and use a pink toned blush for this look! A peach blush would work so, so much better!

My hair's been having serious attitude problems lately and is in desperate need of a new coat of purple (maybe that's why I look like such a happy camper ;)). I should have dyed it ages ago but I've been kind of lazy I guess. :P

Anyway, hope you like the look and if you have any comments or questions please feel free to share them! :3
