Birthstones: Pearl

This is very, very late but I haven't had time to do this look until now, when June is drawing to an end.

In real life this look was way more shimmery than it looks here. I wanted to create a sort of marine, ethereal look with shimmer, glitter (that hardly showed up at all on the pictures...) and pearls.

The white dots are drawn with Illmasqua's Scribe, which is beyond awesome in every way! :) I will make a special post about my recent Illamasqua haul during this upcoming week.

Shimmer and pearls. Elegant or tacky? Or maybe both? :)

Warm, orangey pink lips and blush matches the eyemakeup perfectly!

Well, tomorrow July starts bearing a new month stone with it; the ruby. We'll see what I'll come up with for that one. :)

I hope you all have had a lovely weekend! Thanks for reading!

The Vintage (or Tacky) Iron Man

One of the Youtube gurus that has inspired me most throughout the years is Cora from Vintageortacky. She's funny and extremely talented which makes it delightful to watch her videos! :)
Recently she posted this tutorial on an Iron Man look and I totally fell in love with it. Plus, I do own many of the products she uses in the video so recreating this look was a must for me. ;)

I did decide to put an extra element on this look, that would make it more me and add some more craziness to it (as if that is needed :P...); hence the rhinestones along the lower lash line.

Honestly, I have no idea why but red eyeshadow always look un-blended and as if I've sloppily painted it on in some ancient drawing program (remember Paint anyone?) or something. -___- It helps to turn down the saturation a bit but I still can't capture the smooth blending that actually existed there in real life. So frustrating!
