The Sorting Hat says... Hufflepuff!

Hello makeup-lovers and fellow spooks!

Finally - finally - I have managed to write this post which is the last in the Harry Potter House series. For some reason the color combo black and yellow was hard for me to work with. Yellow is a color that I like a lot but it makes me uncomfortable to wear yellow in public so I had to come up with some kind of discrete way of doing it. Haha, it's not really discrete at all when you think about it but the yellow is not as in your face as yellow usually tends to be.

This is definitely my favorite way of wearing yellow eyeshadow. In my crease I just put some neutral shadow to create some depth.

The brows are drawn on first with a hard, dark brown pencil and then set with Corrupt by Makeup Geek. :)

I laughed a while at the lock of hair that has managed to escape my hat but decided that the photo will have to do anyway.

Slytherin

Hello makeup-lovers and fellow spooks! :)

This is the one makeup look I looked forward most to when starting this project. Green and silver is a great combination!
Slytherin would probably be the house that I have least in common with myself and maybe that's why I find it so fascinating. :) My favorite Slytherin character from the books is definitey Professor Snape!

The lashes I used was Ardell #137 which looked extremely pretty but was shred to pieces when I tried to take them off. I was shocked. This hasn't ever happened before! :O Have you tried these lashes and did you have any problems with them?

To achieve the green shimmery eyelids I used three eyeshadows and black eyeliner pencil as a base.

Gothic black lips are pretty combined with the eye makeup. (But gothic black lips are pretty combined with anything, on the other hand... :P )

So next up in this series will, obviously, be Hufflepuff. I have no idea how I will do that makeup but since black is included it will probably be black lips. :P Not too surprising I suppose...

Gryffindor

Hello makeup-lovers and fellow spooks!

Next up in line for the Harry Potter House makeup-series is Gryffindor (you wouldn't have guessed that from the title would you? ;) ). Well, so the Gryffindors are brave and chivalrous and are recognized by the colors scarlet and gold, which are also very autumny colors. :) So, I figured I'd make this a bold but still kind of wearable look (at least it's wearable in my sense of the word :P).

I figured brown eyes would be great with this look, mostly because I love, love, LOVE brown eyes. :)

I used both Love+ (Sugarpill) and Razzleberry (Makeup Geek) on the outer corner and crease. This is because Razzleberry alone would have been a little bit too pink, but I still wanted to have the pretty, golden sparkles in it. :) I wish they had shown up on the pictures...
To smoothen the transition from red to gold I used a little bit of Mandarine by Makeup Geek (which also has golden sparkles <3).

Of course, this eye makeup is best matched with an even bolder red lip. ;)

Has anyone of you tried out the House sorting test (it is actually a serious one) that I told you about in my Ravenclaw-post? What was your result? Come on, tell me, I'm curious! :)

If you haven't done it you can do it here ---> House sorting test

Tomorrow, I will probably try and post another back-to-school look. :3 I've already taken the pictures for the Slytherin look and I am very, very eager to show it to you since the Slytherin colors are so pretty. ^_^

Thank you for reading!
