Too Faced Shadow Insurance

Finally. Finally I got the thumb out of my you-know-where and got myself a Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer from Too Faced.

It comes in a pretty, bright blue little tube and the product is just fab. I actually don't have anything bad to say about it and - believe me - I did investigate this product with very critical eyes. The creamy texture makes it go on smooth like a dream and creates the perfect base for your eyeshadow to stick to. Also, this primer didn't make the eyeshadows harder to blend or appear blotchy on the eyelids, like the Urban Decay Primer Potion does, so this one definitely qualifies as #1 on my primer list!

Price: ~£17 on Beautybay
Buy again?  Hell yeah!

Which one is your favorite primer and why? :)

    1. I totally understand why! It is the best primer I've ever tried! :)

  3. You should try all their primers. I got a deal before the holiday season from Sephora to get a sampler of them and they are all equally amazing.

    1. I definitely will try Lip insurance and Primed & Poreless as well. :) The later will have to wait though, since I just bought a new face primer from Bare Minerals.

  4. This is good to know! I had a sampling of urban decay and was utterly turned off how thick it stayed on even when I wiped what I believed was excess. I went with Porefessional mislead that it would work, but that let me down-- it did cover pores though, but was ineffective at keeping shadow colorization.

    1. Although I didn't experience any particular thickness with the Urban Decay Primer Potion I definitely think this one is better. :)

  5. I've only used, Urban Decay's Primer Potion, I'd totally love trying this one!

  6. TFSI used to work well for me, but then I don't know if my eyelids started getting oilier (ew) but it doesn't work anymore. I prefer the Primer Potion as it has a drier finish, but I always use Elf's Primer now, which has a similar finish.

  7. this one XD
I love it so much, also in Candlelight and Lemon Drop versions (but I own also Glitter Glue and it's amazing)

  8. This has been on my wishlist for what seems like forever. I really should just take the plunge and get it!

  9. I haven't tried this one yet but so far my favorite combo is UDPP and MAC Painterly PaintPot. Lasts all day with minimal creasing and makes the shadows super vivid.

  10. I've been using Primer Potion for several months and it's the only one I've found that is absolutely crease-proof. But it definitely does make my shadow VERY difficult to blend. I've never tried Too Faced, so I just ordered some ($8 on eBay!). Can't wait to try it!!
