Fame

I'm not talking about the Lady Gaga perfume here (although, I must say that I was very disappointed at it...) but the gorgeous Makeup Geek gel liner that it shares its name with. Since I did experience a few problems with this liner I will make a list afterwards with pros and cons. :)

To balance out the coolness of the teal liner I used Prom night (Makeup Geek) on my lid and Latte to emphasize the crease and outer corner. I liked the result a lot with my blue eyes but I LOVE to "paint" my eyes brown in PS afterwards and I think that Fame really makes brown eyes "pop".

This is what it looks like with my natural, blue eye color. For the lips I chose black, which I almost always do. XD

Face
*Skin base foundation 02 (Illamasqua)
*Studio Finish Concealer (M.A.C.)

Eyebrows
*Corrupt (Makeup Geek)

Eyes
*Prom Night (Makeup Geek)
*Latte (Makeup Geek)
*White lies (Makeup Geek)
*Gel liner Fame (Makeup Geek)
*Eye kohl Smolder (M.A.C.)
*Gel liner Immortal (Makeup Geek)

Lips
*Goth (Viva la Diva)

So, what are the pros and cons with this gel liner now that I have tried it out more properly?

Pros
*Gorgeous color!
*Very pigmented
*Long lasting

Cons
*The formula is a little bit too thick, which makes it hard to work with when doing precision work such as the winged out eyeliner. It is also very irritating with such a thick formula because it "clogs" the brush and makes it hard to clean.

*During the day the color transferred a little to my lid (you know when you blink and get it on your crease...). One of my readers also had problem with transfer with this liner, so I guess its something that you might expect from Fame.

I will give you a similar update for the other Makeup Geek gel liners when I try them on a little more. :)

Thank you so much for the response on the last post I wrote (about The Body Shop). I'm glad to hear your opinions!

Have a nice day and hope to see you soon! :)

  1. What do you use for cleaning your brushes?
I use isopropylic alcohol, it's cheap, perfectly cleanses and disinfects and the brushes dry off almost instantly.
They put isopropylic alcohol in most expensive brush cleaners.

    1. As an instant cleaner I use a spray from e.l.f. that seems to work fine (although it smells kind of weird...) and for deep cleaning I use antibacterial dishwash or pH-neutral shampoo. Cleaning away these MUG liners requires pre-treatment with waterproof makeup remover though.

  2. It makes your true eye color look amazing, too. You have lovely eyes!

  3. Wow the shade is so intense with your natural eye color. Incredible. Bummer about the thickness and transfer. Still quite lovely though. :-)

Oh! P.S.! Thank you for your stance against animal testing. I totally agree- animals are way more important than looking good. I'm happy to purchase from other cruelty-free companies, and no thank you to MAC.

    1. They might improve the formula though, since the product has been launched so recently I guess it's bound to have a few flaws.

Animals are people too! =^.^= And M.A.C. has broken my heart.

  4. Wow! That is an amazing shade of teal. I love it!

Try adding 1 or 2 drops of Inglot's Duraline to Fame. It will improve the texture, and prevent transfer. :)

    1. It is, isn't it? :)

Oh, I will write it down on my Inglot-wishlist. We don't have Inglot here in Sweden and I am so curious about them so I will look for them next time I'm going abroad.
