Burlesque

This is a look that I did ages ago (ok, it might have been two weeks ago actually...) but I just haven't felt like posting it until now.
I used mainly Makeup Geek eyeshadows Burlesque and Bitten for this look.

This is my new favorite combination of eyelahses; Ardell #115 on the top and #108 on the bottom lash line.

I drew in the brows with a dark brown eyeliner pencil and then set them with Makeup Geek's Mocha eyeshadow so that they wouldn't smudge too much.

These top lashes (Ardell #115) are very heavy and make my eyes feel rather sleepy after a while. Does anyone else experience this problem while wearing heavy thick, long lashes?

A neutral lipstick suits this eye-makeup very good, although I'm sure black lips would look great too. ;)

Tomorrow I will be posting a review on the Makeup Geek gel liners that arrived in the mail yesterday. *Squeal of excitement* It will be a loooong post I suspect, so that's why I made this one so short.

Thank you so much for reading! :)

  2. I love the little flick of white at the outer corners. And I'm really looking forward to your review of the MUG liners!

  3. I have less of a problem with "sleepy" lashes than with random breezes. When they push back, they distort my vision!

    1. Haha, I recognize that problem too! And that they are "bumping into" my sun glasses.

  4. I'm with Tante - heavy false lashes are a problem for me in strong wind. Once I ended up with insanely swollen eyes after a day outside with strong gusts. I save false lashes for indoor events, now. :)

This look is SO striking. I didn't think that was possible with neutral shades.

    1. That sounds bad! I have that problem too sometimes.

Thank you! ^_^ I've been experimenting a lot with neutral colors lately.
