Pastel Goth!

Pastels and I have never been friends. In fact I have always hated pastels. When I heard about the "pastel goth" trend I just wrinkled my nose. Pastels. Bluueeh!

Last week I read a blogpost, though, by The Cemetery Dreamer that made me change my mind about the whole pastel goth thing though. :) Pastels can be awesome! Indeed.
I was so inspired by that particular outfit so my mind directly began to conjure a makeup look combining pastels and goth.

This is what I came up with:

The light purple is Wisteria by Makeup Geek, which is a color that I normally use for blending or highlighting purple looks. This time it is the main focus of the look and I think it is lovely combined with black eyeliner. In the crease I've used Cupcake, also by Makeup Geek, which is a muted pale pink that is perfect for blending the purple into the skin.

Arched brows contributes to the gothicness of this look.

And of course, when wearing such a "nice" eye makeup it is only fair to combine it with black lips. :)

Soon I've completed my first week at my trainee job and I LOVE it! :D I work at a cosmetics counter in a department store, which means meeting a lot of nice people and talk about makeup all day long. It's just awesome!

Anyways, thank you so much for reading and hope to see you soon! :) Have a lovely day!

  1. I think this is beautiful. During the day I often wear more pastel shades with black eyeliner and then punch it up for night.
I want wisteria now, guess I will be placing an order soon!

    1. Thank you! :) I almost never wear pastels except for mint green, but I've discovered they make a great daytime look as well. :3
Makeup Geek eyeshadows are awesome, I'm sure you will like it!

  2. Har också sjukt svårt för pasteller, blir så ledsen när man ska köpa saker under våren då allt är pastell. Förra året var det ju pastellneoner överallt. Ville sticka mig i ögonen :')

Det här fungerar dock! Gillart!

Jadå, det är min bild! Skall mejla dem och be dem länka. Tack för att du sade till! :)

  3. That color looks beautiful with black lips, love it ;)

  4. I love it :-) Even better with the black lips!

  5. You look lovely in pastels! The contrast with the dark harsh brow is so interesting!

    1. Thank you so much! ^_^ Maybe I should wear pastels more often. :)

  7. I love it! Your eyes came out beautiful ;)

  8. Thank you so much, I'm a little bit giddy that I inspired you! This look is really cool. I love the contrast between the soft shades and the striking liner and brows (I want your brows so badly!) I'm going to re-create this look when I next wear my pink jumper! I have a suitable shade of purple already, but I'm definitely going to have to get Cupcake now.

I'm glad you love your trainee job, what a dream to be surrounded by make-up all day!

    1. I'm glad to hear you liked the look! ^_^ Thank you for inspiring me!
