The Vampire Lestat

Hello makeup-lovers and fellow spooks! :)

The other day I watched the movie Queen of the Damned. I can't say that it's the best movie I've ever seen but I kind of like the darkness in it, and the vampires are beautiful! And then I'm not only talking about queen Akasha but the other vampires like Lestat and Marius. And their makeup is gorgeous! :D They have this brown smokey eye with a shimmering bluish-greenish inner corner. I knew I had to recreate this look. :)

This is a very unusual vampire look. Lestat wears this makeup look with a lot more brown under the eyes than I've used here, but I didn't want to look tired. :P I wish you could see how pretty and shimmery the bluish green inner corner highlight is! To achieve it you just apply some NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk, blend it out, and on top place first Shimmermint by Makeup Geek and then, Lumi by Sugarpill. The result is so, so pretty! <3

On my lips I've used Darling by Makeup Geek, which, for me, is the perfect nude lipstick. Not exactly what you expect from a vampire look but it's pretty, isn't it? ;) And who said vampires always have to wear black, red and purple?

So that's my version of Lestat's makeup in the movie Queen of the Damned. Have you guys seen this movie and what did you think of it?

And yeah, I know I promised to do a brow tutorial, and I made one but I didn't like it at all so I will make a new one, hopefully this week. Would you like to see a tutorial on "normal" brows or crazy brows?

Have a lovely day my dear readers! :)

  1. Darling, you are STUNNING! The makeup brings out your own gorgeous face so naturally and perfectly.

As for that movie, eh. I preferred "Interview with a Vampire" myself ... Pitt makes a very good, whiny Louie! :)

  3. Wow, that's lovely! Awesome shimmery green. I'll have to see if I can find a good dupe.

I haven't seen any of the Anne Rice vamp movies--I read Interview with a Vampire but urgh Louis was so emo!

    1. Thank you! ^_^ Yeah, it looks even better in real life (as I probably already said in the post :P...). I think any green with Sugarpill's Lumi on top of it would be awesome!

Haha, yeah, Louis is very whiney! :)

  4. What a great look! I love how well light turquoise goes with a reddish brown :) I was super disappointed that they chose to portray Lestat with dark hair in Queen of the Damned, but he still was a great character in it! I liked the book even more.

    1. Thank you very much! :) Turquoise and reddish brown is a very interesting combination, indeed.
I totally agree. Stuart Townsend is a great actor and all, but they should have given his hair a good bleach before putting him in the role as Lestat. :)

  5. Personally I'd like to see tutorials on all types of eyebrows. The more the better. And although this look is very nice and looks great on you, I like the red, black & purple vampire looks better. Don't you?

    1. I'll see what I can come up with. :)
Yeah, I do like the more "classic" vampire looks better. :)

  6. A friend of mine was actually in Queen of the Damned, he was Lestat's drummer :) It was shot right here in Sydney.

A unusual look, but I like it. Well done.

  7. ... actually I believe Queen of the Damned was shot in Melbourne. My significant other was in the movie. I actually have one of the spiked collars worn sitting on my desk at the moment XD. It's not brilliant, but I enjoyed.

I love you blog by the way. Today has been the first time I've seen it. Very lovely work.
