Rules

1. If you're under 18 you have to ask for permission before entering! I don't want any upset parents wondering why a creepy lady from the internet sends their kids stuff.

2. The giveaway is open internationally so you can enter no matter where you live as long as you have an address where I can send you the prize if you win. :)

3. You don't have to subscribe to my blog but if you do you will have a greater chance to win. Why? Simply because I want to give something back to my subscribers.

4. ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON! Cheaters will be disqualified! ;)

This is how you enter

Put this banner on one of your blogposts, telling people about this giveaway! Then write a comment on this post where you send me the link to your blogpost. Please send me the link to the relevant blogpost (that is, the one where you put my giveaway banner) and not only to your blog.

To put the banner in your blogpost you can paste the following code in the HTML of your blogpost:

<ahref="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJNkfpY3Q8CiLDEhYp_PHqHOxk1tOTCBqf-vWUtHrU_Veoy9MkkSI62ecvrCO7JuBgABOwOkcgg9g_1UOS9DaU-OODpEJIFzua15fZAtKxaLLykZ1dBNw_1ftyK7wpOKMmLPNXPzde7I0/s1600/Giveawaybanner.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="173" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJNkfpY3Q8CiLDEhYp_PHqHOxk1tOTCBqf-vWUtHrU_Veoy9MkkSI62ecvrCO7JuBgABOwOkcgg9g_1UOS9DaU-OODpEJIFzua15fZAtKxaLLykZ1dBNw_1ftyK7wpOKMmLPNXPzde7I0/s400/Giveawaybanner.jpg" width="400" /></a>

The winner will be chosen randomly, probably in quite an unorthodox way. :)

The winner will be published here on my blog 2012-03-31 and will then have one week to contact me. If the winner haven't contacted me in one week, then I will pick a new winner, so make sure you check out my blog at the end of this month! :)

So, this is all for this blogpost, I hope I haven't forgotten anything now. I hope you like this giveaway and that you will enter!

Good luck everyone! :)

LOTD: Pools n' peacocks

Hello everybody!

Today I finally made a look with the one of the Makeup Geek eyeshadows that I was most excited about: Poolside. I love, love, love teal and turquoise eyeshadow! :D I was thinking about doing a regular smokey eye but suddenly I felt the urge to do something more creative. But for those of you who are dying to see a regular smokey eye with this eyeshadow - do not despair! I will probably create that look (maybe even a tutorial...) in a future not far from now. :) Until then, you will have to do with the pictures below.

A crisp and straight edge of your eyeshadow can be created by using Scotch tape! Just make sure that you place it on the back of your hand first to reduce part of the stickiness. You don't want to pull to hard on the delicate skin around your eyes!

The outer corner is darkened with another Makeup Geek eyeshadow called Peacock. When I did the review and swatches of this eyeshadow I wasn't too fond of it but it has started to grow on me.

As you can see this look is fabulous on brown eyes! :D

And here's a full face picture of me looking like a Siberian husky... :P It would be kind of cool to have one brown and one blue eye naturally. I bet it's very uncommon though.

That's all for this post! Have a nice day and hope to see you soon! :)

LOTD: Sunset on Wisteria Lane

Hello everybody!

The look of today is inspired by this amazing look created by Meredith Jessica from pigmentsandpalettes.com! It's such a beautiful look and a fun idea to put a colorful eyeshadow in the inner corner of the eye! While Meredith Jessica has done this look with a beautiful minty teal, I'm going to create a look with a soft lavender. The basic concept is the same though! :)

Anyways, here's a link to Meredith Jessica's look and videotutorial:

http://www.pigmentsandpalettes.com/2012/03/cockateal-eyes-video-tutorial.html

As I said I used purple instead of teal. I love teal but at the moment I'm totally obsessed about purple, hence the choice of color.

Since I figured this look didn't turn out that exciting I wanted to spice it up a bit by adding some rhinestones! :) I think they really added something to the look but they didn't show up that good in the pictures. :/

I truly love the concept of putting a eyeshadow over the eyeliner of your waterline! It really adds an unexpected and playful effect to any look! :) Here, I have used e.l.f. Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil in Boldly bronzed and on top of that I pressed a generous amount of Glamorous by Makeup Geek. Neat! :D

This look will be awesome on any eye color, since it's got a bit of everything!

Face
*Clarins Everlasting Foundation Ivory

Brows
*Latte, MakeupGeek

Eyes
*NYX Jumbo Pencil Milk
*Wisteria Makeup Geek
*Glamorous, Makeup Geek
*Latte, Makeup Geek
*Embark, M.A.C.
*Charity, Make Up Store
*Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil, Boldly bronzed, e.l.f.
*Fluidline Blacktrack, M.A.C.
*Eyelashes, #747S, Red Cherry

So I guess that's all for the look of today! Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Tutorial: Popping green eyes!

Hello everybody!

Today it's time for popping some green eyes! :) I realize that this look is probably not wearable for everyone as a daytime look but I'm sure you can wear it on a night out though.

Different shades of purple, mauve and pink are perfect tones to use on green eyes, so that's exactly what we are going to do. :)

Recommendation: Since purple fallout is probably not the cutest thing you can adorn your face with I highly recommend you to put on your base after you've done the eyes. That way you can clean up the fallout more easily with a makeup remover wipe!

Step 1. Prime your eyes with your favorite primer and apply NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk all over your lid all the way up to your brow. Smudge it out so that it covers the lid in an even layer.
Step 2. Apply a vibrant warm purple, such as Poison plum by Sugarpill, on your lid and blend it up into your crease. Remember to save a little "pocket" of space in the inner corner.

Step 3. With an angled blending brush apply a lighter purple, such as Parfait amour by M.A.C., in the inner corner. Also use this lighter purple to blend the edges of the darker one. Highlight under your brow with a matte white.
Step 4. On a smaller blending brush or pencil brush, pick up some black or really dark purple eyeshadow. I've used Beauty marked by M.A.C. since I love those burgundy sparkles, but they don't show up that much so you can as well use a regular black. Tap off the excess eyeshadow, since you don't want this eyeshadow to show up too black. Apply it in the outer corner and blend it slightly upwards and into the crease.
Step 5. Apply the black eyeshadow along your upper lash line with a sharp, angled brush. Line your upper and lower waterline with a black kohl pencil. On a really small brush, pick up some of the lighter purple eyeshadow and press it onto the inner 1/3 of your waterline. On the outer 2/3 press on some of the darker purple.
Step 6. Now is the time to apply your foundation! Then, I filled in my brows with Charcoal brown by M.A.C. and then applied a pair of false eyelashes. These are #747S by Red Cherry.
For the lips I used a baby pink lipliner and on top of that a nude lipgloss.
I hope this tutorial has been helpful for all of you with green eyes out there! :) Have a wonderful day!

Cyber shamrock

Hello everybody! :)

Since St Patrick's Day is upcoming I thought I'd do a crazy green look today. I didn't hold back, so this look is probably as far from wearable as one can get. But, you don't have to try it out if it's not your cup of tea! :)

I did look for small shamrocks instead of stars but I couldn't find any that were small enough. I think the stars look just fine though. :)

The eyebrows are filled in first with Charcoal brown and then with Humid (M.A.C.). I wanted to them to have a green glow but not to be too green.

The waterline is filled in first with the eye kohl Smolder and then set with Humid (M.A.C.) to create a green eyeliner instead of a black.

All of the lines are created with a kohl pencil except for the lowest one, which needed to be more precise. Therefore I drew that one with a gel liner and a small brush.

As I said, I didn't hold back on this look and since I wanted it to be a cyber goth look I went for black and green lips. First I lined my lips with Smolder and then smudged it out inwards. The green "lipstick" I made myself by mixing a small amount of petroleum jelly with the pigment Chartreuse by Ben Nye. In the center of the lip I patted some Lucky green (M.A.C.) just to create the illusion of fuller lips.

Face
*Clarins Everlasting foundation Ivory

Eyes
*Eye kohl pencil Smolder (M.A.C.)
*Humid (M.A.C.)
*Lucky green (M.A.C.)
*Gesso (M.A.C.)
*Blanc type (M.A.C.)
*Charcoal brown (M.A.C.)
*Chartreuse pigment (Ben Nye)
*Pollution (Make Up Store)
*Milk, Jumbo Pencil (NYX)
*Red Cherry #110 lashes

Lips
*Smolder eye kohl pencil (M.A.C.)
*Chartreuse pigment (Ben Nye)
*Petroleum jelly

So, will you be brave enough to wear this look for St Patrick's Day? :)

Tomorrow I will hopefully be able to continue with the tutorial series for popping certain eye colors. Then it's time to create a look for all of you with green eyes. :)

Anyway, have a nice day! :D

Youtube and product tips!

Hello everybody!

Those of you who adores extreme makeup would probably love this video that the Pixiwoo sisters recently uploaded on Youtube.

The Face.Lace product is definitely an amazing opportunity for us who loves to decorate our faces with intricate patterns without the time consuming process of drawing them by hand.

The pictures below is taken from the Face.Lace website, from which you will be able to purchase these products in the end of this month.

This is the eye lace called Fleurty (which, by the way, is a really clever name). I really love the pattern, but it seems to have some strange texture, doesn't it? Like small white dots on it or something.

This is the pattern I liked best! It's called Burlesque. Isn't the pattern just so lovely? I would love to try and paint something like this sometime, but I reckon it's hard to do on yourself.

Since they are a bit pricey, my first question was can you reuse them? This is what the Face.Lace website says:

"Yes if it has gone over clean skin, (without make-up) and you have put it back on the backing sheet after wearing, you should be able to wear it more than once."

So what do you guys think? Isn't this what you've been waiting for? Would you like to try out Face.Lace and which pattern would you choose? :)

Tutorial: Popping brown eyes!

Hello everybody!

Today we are going to make a popping makeup for brown eyes. Yay! If you've investigated the subject before you have probably heard that the color that makes brown eyes pop is blue. Blue eyeshadow is however often difficult to wear. If you want to know how to make a wearable look out of blue eyeshadow, just keep on reading. :)

I got the inspiration for this look from an awesome makeup blog that I've found recently! Click on the link below to check it out. :)

http://www.bowsandcurtseys.com/2012/01/mila-kunis-2012-golden-globes-inspired.html

Step 1. Apply your base and prime your eyes. I'm using e.l.f. eyelid primer in Sheer

Step 2. With a fluffy brush, apply a soft brown in the crease. The color I'm using is Latte by MakeupGeek. Also apply a skin toned eyeshadow on your lid. I've used Blanc type by M.A.C. I've also used Latte to fill in my eyebrows.

Step 3. Line your upper waterline and lash line with a black kohl pencil, such as Smolder by M.A.C. Using a small brush, blend it out a little, so that there are no harsh lines. You can use a navy blue kohl pencil instead!

Step 4. On top of the black, apply a shimmery navy blue eyeshadow. I have used Deep truth by M.A.C. Blend it out slightly. You want to have the shape very defined so don't overblend!
Step 5. Line your lower waterline and lower lash line with the black (or navy blue) kohl pencil. On top of that, apply Deep truth (also on the waterline to fix the kohl pencil).

Step 6. Mascara and a pair of false eyelashes! :) The lashes I've used are Red Cherry #110.
Finished! :D

For the lips I chose a peachy pink color, which I don't know the name of since it's an unmarked sample by Oriflame. But any peach lipstick or gloss will work fine with this look! Also use a peachy toned blush. I've used Glow by e.l.f.
So, I hope that this tutorial has been helpful for all of you with brown peepers out there. :) Of course you can use this look whatever eye color you have!

Right now I'm debating whether I should do a tutorial for gray eyes or not. I thought first that purple would be awesome with a gray look but I'm using purple for the green eyes look as well so it might not be optimal to do two different tutorials for that. We'll see...

I hope you're having a lovely day! :)
