Hello everybody!
Well, today it is time for the tutorial of my birthday makeup, just as I promised you yesterday. :) I had a great birthday and got a lot of beautiful gifts! I got a several items from M.A.C. which I'm going to show you all later.
So, anyways, the makeup I did last spring which inspired me to this look is this one:
It looks like I've painted the eyebrow in Photoshop or something but I haven't! :O I have no idea how it can look like that but I'm guessing it had something to do with the settings for the saturation on my camera.
The pattern is actually inspired by this image from Deviantart:
http://dead-rose-16.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=24#/d27v8ar
So let's get this tutorial started!
Step 1
Start off by priming your eyes and lining your upper and lower waterline with a black eyeliner pencil.
Step 2
Draw the outline of the black shape with an eyeliner pencil. The line marks the highest point of the shape and you don't want to go outside it too far when blending!
Step 3
Fill the shape in with the black eyeliner pencil and blend out!
Step 4
To increase the blackness, pack on some black eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner pencil. Blend out the edges carefully. You don't want them to be too harsh but not too blended either. Also take the eyeshadow down underneath your lower lash line. Here you want it to be more blended!
Line your upper lash line with a black gel eyeliner.
Step 5
Put on your foundation and under eye concealer (your base).
With gel liner draw a line similar to the one I've drawn in the picture. You can also use liquid eyeliner, as I've done in the red-brow version of the makeup. Neither gel nor liquid eyeliner leaves much room for mistakes so if you're not sure of what you're doing it might be a good idea to draw the pattern with a white eyeliner pencil first.
Step 6
Draw to more lines, like this!
Step 7
Two more lines under the eye! The pattern begins to look a little bit complex now. :)
Step 8
Three lines above the eye, which are going to go "under" the brow.
Step 9
Some dots and the pattern is finished! :D
Step 10
This look would just not be complete without a pair of humongous falsies and a colorful brow! I painted my eyebrow with the lip pencil "Jazz" by Make Up Store. Just use whatever color you feel like.
The lashes I've used are from Stargazer and I think they're #16.
Step 11
For a more fun look match your lips with your eyebrows! :) Again I've used "Jazz" by Make Up Store and the lipstick "Black orchid" which is not black, but a nice dark burgundy. Love it!
I've also put some of the lipstick "Kharma" by Viva La Diva in the middle of the lip for a cool metallic effect.
And just another full face picture!
Have a nice day everybody! :D

Todays makeup!
Hello everybody!
Today is my birthday and I wanted to show you my birthday makeup! It is inspired by a makeup look I did last spring with a red eyebrow. Back then I was a redhead so a red eyebrow matched my hair. Now, however, I'm as you've probably noticed a purplehead, so I figured a purple brow would be more suitable. :) Tomorrow, when I have more time I will post a tutorial and the inspiration picture with the red brow.
Today you will have to do with one picture!
The brow really looks more purple irl, now it's more of a burgundy color.
I matched this with a purple lip. Most likely it will be hard to eat cake without smudging the lipstick. Haha!
Well, have a nice day and see you tomorrow! :)

Tutorial: Purple and bright green craziness
Hello everybody! :D
It's tutorial time again and those of you who prefer wearable looks might want to stop reading here, because today we're creating a look that is light years from your regular browns and beiges! ;) When I sat down to do todays look I didn't really know what it would turn out like in the end, but I wanted to do something colorful and wild.
As if the bright cut crease wouldn't be enough we will use two pairs of eyelashes to create this look! Sounds interesting? Well, then let's get started! :D
Step 1
As always, prime your eyes with your favorite eyelid primer.
Step 2
Line your upper and lower waterline with a black eyeliner pencil.
Apply NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk" on your lid and right beneath your brows. Leave the space in between bare, since that's where we're going to put on some purple eyeliner pencil.
Step 3
The one I'm using is "Purple attraction" by Make Up Store, but any dark purple will do! Draw a similar shape as the one shown in the picture. This will create a guideline for our cut crease.
Step 4
Blend the purple out! It doesn't have to be neat, since we're putting eyeshadow over it later.
Step 5
With a flat brush (like #239, M.A.C.) pack on some "Lucky green" by M.A.C. on the first half of the lid. Leave a little "pocket" for highlighting in the innermost corner.
Step 6
On the other side of the same brush, pick up some of the pigment "Chartreuse" by Ben Nye, and pack it onto the rest of the lid. Blend it in with "Lucky green" to create a smooth gradient.
Step 7
Now we're going to use another pigment by Ben Nye, "Amethyst", and put it on top of the purple base. Blend it out well. To help the blending and get that purple "glow", use an eyeshadow the same shade as your skin tone.
Apply a matte black under your lower lash line and blend it out.
Step 8
There's a bit of a mess in the outer corner and I wanted to sharpen up the edge a little. To do so in this stage, take some makeup remover on a Q-tip and "roll" the Q-tip along the lower part of the outer corner.
Pop on a matte white right under your brow, and the pigment "Old gold" by M.A.C. in the inner corner.
Step 9
Line the upper lash line with a black gel eyeliner, finishing with a tiny baby wing in the outer corner.
Fill in your eyebrows with whatever color suits you. I've used "Sketch" by M.A.C. but it might be a little bit too much for most people (as if the rest of the makeup isn't? :P).
Step 10
Put on black mascara and a pair of Ardell #105 false eyelashes.
Step 11
Finish the eyes with another pair of false eyelashes with feathers. I think this takes the look to new heights!
Step 12
And for the lips, more craziness? Nawh, I decided to match this look with a natural lip. Line your lips with a lip pencil that is about the same color as your natural lip color and blend it out a bit. Then apply a nude lipstick. I've used "Creamy nude" by Clinique. In the middle of the lips I put some concealer to add some more dimension. On top of that apply a clear or nude lipgloss.
I tried to dye my hair the other day with Manic Panic hair color but it didn't work at all. :( So I guess I'll just go back to my regular hair dye from Directions.
I have got ideas for three or four tutorial series that I will do sometime in a future not far from now. :) I'm just waiting for some eyeshadows that will arrive at the end of this week or maybe next week.

Busy weekend
Hello everybody!
Sorry about the lack of blogposts this weekend! I've been really busy doing makeup for three different photosessions, which has been incredibly fun, but not left me too much room for working on my blog. I will probably get the pictures in a couple of weeks. :)
Friday I did first a regular black smokey eye on my model Julia, and after that we added some green to the smoke to match her eye color. It turned out very nice but I was pretty unused to putting makeup on a model since it was a while ago I did that now.
Saturday, it was time for a more experimental makeup and I did a makeup look inspired by this look:
Picture taken from:
http://www.eyeshadowlipstick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/makeup-art_60_s_circles_final1.jpg
I wanted to do something similar but with the lines going between the circles and the eyes curved instead of straight. The look suited our model, Sandra, perfectly!
Today I put makeup on the awesome model Isabelle. The look consisted of a smokey eye with a golden touch in the middle of the eyelid and then black buttons glued to her face. :) It turned out pretty cool!
So as you can see I've had quite a hectic but creative weekend. :) I'm really excited to show you the pictures so I hope I'll get them soon!
Tomorrow I will probably do a tutorial of some sort but I haven't really thought about what kind of look it will be. The day after tomorrow is my birthday, so then I will make sure to post a picture of birthday makeup. ;)
Hope you've had a nice weekend and see you tomorrow!

Tutorial: Silver smoke
Hello everybody! :)
This is a classic party look and I didn't feel like doing anything crazy today so I thought I'd keep it simple. I'm using the M.A.C. "Platinum" pigment for this and since I'm using it dry I want to stress that it's important to apply a sticky base such as the NYX Jumbo pencil underneath.
So let's get the tutorial started! :)
Step 1
Prime your eyes. Apply NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk" all over your lid and all the way up to the eyebrow. Blend it out with your finger to make it evenly distributed.
Step 2
Apply a black eyeshadow in the outer corner of your eye.
Step 3
Blend the black inwards to about half the lid, creating a nice gradient!
Step 4
Pack on the "Platinum" pigment by M.A.C. on the lid and in the inner corner.
Step 5
Line the upper and lower waterline with a black eyeliner pencil. Also apply some black eyeshadow along your upper and lower waterline. Smudge it out to create a soft line.
Step 6
Fill in your brows gently. I've used a M.A.C. #239 brush to get a more natural and not so drawn in result. The color I've used to fill my brows in with is "Sketch" by M.A.C., but I know this isn't a proper eyebrow color for everyone so you can just use a shade that suits you.
Two coats of black mascara and a pair of falsies and you're good to go! The lashes I've used are #747S from Red Cherry.
I re-dyed my hair last week and the color has already faded. :( This time I've bought a new hair dye by Manic Panic, which is supposed to last 30% longer. Hope it does, because re-dying my hair once a week will be pretty tedious work in the long run.
Does anyone with purple (or other extreme colored hair) have any advice on how to get the color to last longer?

Nicki and Ricky for M.A.C. Viva Glam
Hello everybody!
I just wanted to make a short notice on the new M.A.C. Viva Glam products, because I think they're really cool. The first one is a lipstick by Nicki Minaj and it's a bright yellow pink with a satin finish. It's as bright and colorful as Nicki Minaj herself. :)
Cool, huh? :)
Picture taken from:
http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/168/20927/Viva-Glam-Nicki/index.tmpl
I would love to try it out, but I don't know if it's going to be released here in Sweden.
The next product is a clear lip conditioner by Ricky Martin, who is the first male Viva Glam celebrity. Don't know if that one is super exciting but a good lip conditioner is hard to find so I'd like to try it anyway. :)
Here's a video from M.A.C.'s Youtube channel where they talk about this collection. Look at Nicki's pink and orange makeup, it's very interesting.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
The best thing with the Viva Glam collection is that every cent goes to helping people with HIV and AIDS. Way to go M.A.C.!

Tutorial: Black and white cut crease with a red lip
Hello everybody!
I'm continuing my frenzy of dark, dramatic looks with a black and white cut crease. This look is very vampiric and probably not wearable for everyone. :) But if this look is not your cup of tea you can always store it in your memory bank until next Halloween. ;)
The cold February days really sets me in the mood for doing gothic looks, so you'll probably see a lot of them in the nearest future. I'll try to combine it with looks that are wearable to most people though, so that some of you won't get bored. :)
I think this look is great combined with white contacts! :)
Step 1
I've already applied my base except for under eye concealer, which I'm going to apply later. Prime your eyes with your favorite primer. Apply NYX Jumbo pencil in "Milk" on the lid and beneath your brow. Blend it out and apply a matte white on top of it.
Step 2
Put some tape on the outer corner of your eye. With a small brush draw the outline of the cut crease with black eyeshadow.
Step 3
Fill in the shape with some more black. Blendy blend! :D
Step 4
Add some more black and blend again. Repeat this until you've got the desired blackness.
Step 5
Remove the tape and line your upper and lower waterline with a soft, black eyeliner pencil. DON'T take the liner all the way in to the corner of your eye. Fill the rest of the lower waterline in with a white eyeliner pencil. Also take the black down into your lower lash line and smudge it out.
Step 6
Line your upper lash line with a black gel liner. Don't take the gel liner all the way in either! Looks hideous right now but it will be better when we get the mascara and false eyelashes on. ;)
Step 7
Pop on some mascara and a pair of false eyelashes. The ones I've used are #28 from Red Cherry.
The brow I've created is a gradient from black in the "tail" fading to nothing when it gets closer to the nose.
Step 8
Line and fill in the lip with a bright red lip liner. I've used "Prime red" by Isadora. On top of that, put a red, glossy lipstick. The one I have is Luscious Liquid Lipstick in "Cherry tart" by e.l.f.
I haven't used any blush for this look, just a hint of black eyeshadow for contouring.
Hope you like the look! :) Don't forget to comment and subscribe!
