80's goth

Hello makeup-lovers and fellow spooks!

This will be a quick post, just to show you a look I did last week. It is an 80's goth inspired look. I don't know if I'm 100% happy about how it turned out but I guess it will do.

Again, please, I would really appreciate it if you would go to Makeupbee.com and vote for my look! If you would like to help me with this, please click here and then click "LUV". :)

Now to the look!

The inspiration for this look actually came from the movie "Gypsy 83" (which was awesome!), and the makeup Clive wears at the goth club. I think his version of the look is a little bit too harsh, though, so made my own twist on it. When doing this kind of look I like to blend the eyeshadow a lot.

Black or dark red lips are ideal combined with this eye makeup.

I also wanted to show you my new spine-earrings that I found on sale for a couple of dollars. They're so cute! I always appreciate when mainstream fashion stores are selling morbid jewelry and stuff! :)

  2. Wow!!!

How do you get such solid coverage in the waterline, below your lower lashes and everywhere in between?? When I try, I end up with speckles of skin still showing between my lashes and black all over where it shouldn't be. :( I've tried with a pencil and with black eyeshadow, and a combo. The pencil leaves clumps and won't get between the lashes, the black shadow won't stay, and the combo is messy!

    1. I use a very kohl pencil, which is softer than regular eyeliner pencils. It doesn't stay solid for more than half an hour or so, though, so I have to reapply often. Another tip is to dip the eyeliner pencil in a small amount of gel-liner and then apply it, but I don't do that very often because it irritates my eyes a bit.
To get the blackness in between the lashes I like to take an angled brush (like the E65 by Sigma) pick up some eyeliner pencil on it and push the liner into the lash line from underneath. Hope that helped! :)

  3. Thank you for these tips! I have some gel liner, so I will try both of those techniques and hope for better results. :)
